There is more to mindfulness than sitting still indoors. We can take our cushions and our practice of mindfulness into the outdoors too. Being in nature can be a powerful response to meet the stresses and strains of modern living.
When we bring mindfulness with us, we can deepen our connection with our selves and our more than human world. And the science agrees! Recent reviews of research show that practicing mindfulness outdoors in nature may lead to even more positive gains for us than traditional means of practicing mindfulness.
The program will look more or less like this:
10:30 (sharp): walking in silence through the forest, stopping from time to time to explore what attracts our eyes and our other senses
10:30-11:30: Experiencing some mindfulness meditation practices bringing us back onto our body and senses . Finding inner peace and calm, exploring what nature is offering us and what it can teach .
11:30 - 12:00: reconnecting with the group and sharing about the experience. Walking back to the meeting point.
You can book in to an organized monthly group walk or get in touch if would like to book a mindful outdoor experience for your group or team.
